013: Losing Sight, Starting Over, & Building Intuition with MAXMILIANO CAMPOS

Losing Sight, Starting Over, & Building Intuition with MAXMILIANO CAMPOS

Maximiliano Campos was born in Brazil and moved to US when he was 12. That alone is enough for a whole conversation on being outside of your comfort zone and learning a new way to communicate. But Max moved with his family to the states because they knew of a doctor in Boston who might be able to help his situation. Max has retinitis pigmentosa, or RP for short. This means a few months after he moved to the States he experienced a relatively sudden decline in his vision.

Without spoiling his story, I just have to say that having this conversation was a bright spot in my day. Max has such a kind and open approach to telling his story, I know you'll enjoy this too. Let's get into it!

Brave Take-Aways

First thing, I encourage you to spend a full day being mindful of how your life might be different if you lost one of your senses. Spend the whole day with a little bit more awareness of your other senses.

Second thing, spend some time identifying what your biggest fear is (I know sometimes that changes from day-to-day) and then allow yourself to imagine what your life would look like if it actually happened. That can be a big request, but hear me out. I know when I've done this before (usually prompted by an exorbitant amount of fear or worry) I'm always surprised at how tiny that fear seems in the big scheme of things.

I'm curious what you came up with so please feel free to reach out!
