Hi! I'm Emily Ann Peterson.

You can call me Emily Ann. My pronouns are she/her/hers/they/theirs. (What's this?)

I help business owners with post-traumatic chaos find sustainable sources of confidence.

IRL Business Experience

In the throes of the 2008 recession, I launched a soon-to-be-booming business as a full-time professional cellist and cello teacher. I made all the fun & naive mistakes and quickly learned how to turn lemons into a musically delicious (and fun!) lemonade stand.

To this day, I've never had a 9-to-5 job. Despite my arms being covered in tattoos, Fortune500's and startups hire me as a corporate speaker and consultant, so that's cool too!

#1 Amazon Best-Selling Book

I can't believe it some days either, LOL, but it's true... <shrug!>

In 2018, I self-published a #1 Amazon bestselling book called Bare Naked Bravery: How to Be Creatively Courageous. The research for that began as a top-rated podcast by the same name. I still use a lot of the principles outlined in that book in my coaching and consulting today!

My favorite clients are...

  • trauma survivors
  • LGBTQI-friendly
  • anti-racist
  • pro-sex work & sex-positive
  • body-positive & anti-diet
  • neurodivergent
  • creative misfits

Clients get my best work when they...

  • enjoy throwing spaghetti and confetti
  • accept that I'm not their guru or anyone else's
  • are willing to do some "emotional spelunking"
  • regularly see a mental health professional in addition to our work together

New clients are often seeking...

  • customer acquisition ideas
  • ethical marketing strategies
  • time management solutions
  • content creation blueprints
  • enjoyable business practices
  • sustainable day-to-day growth

New clients often struggle with...

  • impostor syndrome
  • self-sabotage
  • existential overwhelm
  • feast or famine bank accounts
  • people pleasing burnout

Most importantly, I'm a survivor & I still struggle too.

I understand the daily implications of trauma recovery, especially for a business owner. This is why I continue to "do my own work" with a team of therapists, coaches, medical professionals, and ongoing training.

I'm a survivor of:

  • religious trauma (exvangelical)
  • disordered eating
  • chronic illness & neurodiversity
  • academic & career sexual assault
  • and whatever you'd call being a woman in the music industry
